I grew up playing outside during most of my childhood. Moving to Colorado reinforced my love of nature because it is so rewarding to be outside and such a beautiful place to live.

When I was little, I spent a lot of time with my grandmother who always reminded me to pause and look at the trees, listen to the birds and take in the beauty around me. When I am outside planting flowers, I am reminded of her and all of the ways she was teaching me to pause and take in my surroundings.

I still feel like a kid in a candy shop when I plant seeds into the dirt, and it turns into something magical in just a few months. It warms my heart every time I see someone so excited about locally grown flowers.
